Wenger was about to Find a new central defender in January




London - The crisis being experienced central defender made his Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, inevitably have to look for a new power in the transfer market next winter.

Currently Arsenal only have Per Mertesacker as the only pure central defender who is still fit. Meanwhile Laurent Koscielny just last midweek injury and will miss several weeks make.

Meanwhile Calum Chambers, which are usually operated as a central defender, the original position is right back. Even Wenger must play Mathieu Debuchy, who actually plays right-back, as a central defender during Arsenal's 4-1 win over Newcastle United last night (Chambers is serving a red card suspension).

Inevitably this condition makes Wenger must turn the brain respond to the tight schedule by the end of this year. Therefore Wenger also intends to bring a new central defender in January.

"Yes (I will bring a new central defender), with Laurent Koscielny injury so we were a bit worried and need looking coatings," Wenger said as quoted by the BBC.

Since sell Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona last summer, practical Arsenal only have two central defenders, Mertesacker and Koscielny. No players rumored far closer to the Emirates Stadium but the young defender origin Ipswich Town, Tyrone Mings.
